-
Named lunch box if staying for lunch.

Settling in
Most children settle into pre-school very easily. We want their introduction to pre-school to be a happy one. We really believe that if a child feels settled everything else will fall into place.
For some children this is not the case, and, in these circumstances, we encourage you to stay close by so we can call you to return, until they are happy to be left with us for longer. All children are different, and we are happy to discuss various options with you, to make the transition as easy for your child as possible. You know your child best; we want them to be happy and feel safe and secure and to enjoy pre-school. We really do go at the child’s pace and will work with you on this.
If at any time you feel your child has worries which might affect their behavior or happiness, please let us know so that we can support them as much as possible. Please encourage your child to leave personal toys at home to avoid them becoming lost or damaged.
Invoices and fees
Parents will be invoiced half termly, at the beginning of each term.
Sessions are fixed when term has started and cannot be changed or swapped.
It is the responsibility of the parent to choose how many of the 15/30 funded hours you wish to use.
Lunch club is not included in funded hours.
There is an expected contribution included in each session of £1.50 to contribute towards resources and snack.
For clarification regarding the new sessional charge at Pre-school, following guidance from the Bucks Council Early Years team, it was suggested that we introduce an expected sessional contribution of £1.50. With the introduction of the 30 hours funding pre-schools have struggled to cover their costs for the additional and be financially viable, and the government are aware of this and is why they included this statement "Parents can also expect to pay for other consumables or additional activities offered by the provider".
We are aware this may be a financial stretch for some, and we are mindful of the impact of additional charges on the most disadvantaged parents. If you feel this relates to you, please let us know and I will not chase.
We require a terms notice should you wish to adjust your hours or give notice on your child’s place.
Uniform
Pre-school has no formal uniform, comfy clothes to be worn for messy play and lots of fun. We do have T-shirts in pre-school colours which can be purchased for £5.50 from the office.
Absence
If your child is unable to attend a session, please let us know by email or by calling the above phone number.
Learning Journey
We use Tapestry to record and share photos and wow moments. We also share other things your child gets up to at pre-school. You will also be able to share things that happen at home too, which we love to see. Please do check your Tapestry, we update information and photos about your child regularly.
Key Person
Each child is allocated a Key Worker on their first day, and this will be communicated by your child’s key worker in the first week of pre-school. Your child’s key worker will also be available to speak to at the beginning and end of each session.
